At Irons Aussie's, we strive to raise Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherds that are loving, loyal companions for their new families. Our home overlooks a lake and our Aussies love to watch the seagulls, pelicans, and eagles. Our home has 2 doggie doors so they can go out when they need or want to. Being retired from the military, I am in a fortunate position to be home all day with our dogs. Most of the time we are able to take our dogs with us, we are an active family and our dogs go camping, swimming, walking, boating, shows, and even get in costume to help us out with our haunted house at different campgrounds. John and I usually have 2 or 3 in our laps in the evening when we sit down to watch some TV. They sleep in the bedroom with us and if you're the last one in bed at night, ha, good luck finding a spot. Around here it’s every man or dog for himself. Eventually, they all go to their kennels for the night except three that sleep in bed with us. The only other time they are in their kennel is when we run an errand, they do great in them. We also show them with American Stock Dog Registry (ASDR), Australian Shepherd Association (ASA) and International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA) and in 2022, Performance with AKC.
We work hard at showing and take lots of classes and train a lot on our own. We show in Conformation, Agility, Rally, Scentwork, PHC/CGC, Trick Dog, and Obedience Competition. Our fur kids have won many things and continue to make us very proud. In 2020 we had the honor of winning the Reserve Generations and Reserve Breeders Showcase competition. In 2021, we were blessed to win the Generations competition 3 times throughout the year with our founding boy, Pistol, his daughter, Maggie, and his grand daughter, Sheridan. We were always brought to tears knowing that we have raised dogs good enough and worthy of being selected by the judges to win those classes.

| At Irons Aussies our litters are planned so we will be able to devote all our time with the puppies. When they are a bit older, they have an area where we set up a puppy jungle gym with lots of toys and a puppy litter box for potty training. Besides getting run of the big kitchen or puppy room where their play area is set up, they also get to spend time throughout the house during the day for short periods of time. They get lots of attention, are exposed to noises, kennels to crawl in and out of, other dogs and kids to play with. Our puppies receive lots and lots of love! They go outside often and although they are not fully potty trained when they go to their forever homes, they do have a good understanding to go to the bathroom outside or a puppy litter box. Our past clients have praised us by telling us that they hardly had to teach them at all as they seemed to know what to do. |
| I do a genetic test with Canine Health Check or Paw Prints Genetics for the Australian Shepherd Essential Panel as well as the T Locus (Natural Bobtail) with my adults to ensure that pairings will not produce any affected offspring. |
| My boys are available for stud to approved dogs only. Price at this time is $1500. They must have a current health certificate, current on all shots to include current bordetella vaccine and have a negative brucellosis test current within one week before arriving at my home - No Exceptions!!!
